The National Institute for Health Specialties NIHS has organized the 2nd accreditation surveyors workshop for various health specialties, as part of a series of continuous development workshops aimed at refining surveyors’ skills in the field of evaluation and institutional and program accreditation. More than 65 consultants and health practitioners representing various health authorities within the country participated in the workshop. The workshop focused on unifying the mechanisms and methods of evaluation and accreditation in accordance with the NIHS -approved standards and requirements of institutional and program accreditation.
In addition to introducing the participants to the evaluation and accreditation tools and procedures, and how to conduct evaluation field visits and prepare evaluation and accreditation reports based on the best international practices. A group of specialized health consultants from the field of evaluation and accreditation participated in the presentation of the workshop. Dr. Mohammed Al Houqani - Secretary General of the National Institute for Health Specialties, said that the NIHS works to qualify health staff in the field of training, evaluation and accreditation, and strive to standardize the quality assurance of evaluation and accreditation processes for hospitals within the country and enable them to offer approved medical residency and fellowship programs.
